Teachers are commonly the first adults to see changes in students behaviours, interactions, engagement which could be related to concerning sexual behaviour. This is important for teachers to recognise as this plays a role in early identification and appropriate intervention. 

This topic is a complex and sensitive issue that can have a massive impact on a students development, wellbeing and safety. It is important teachers have effective training to respond to students experiencing trauma.
